I hesitate to make comments since I am obviously not an expert, but here goes: the eye is certainly lovely, but a tad out of focus. That will probably hurt it in the voting.

Fits the challenge and is a good attempt but the focus is just a little too soft to add great impact to the shot. Eye should be completely focused to really make this type of shot work.

Too much blur and it would've been good to crop the nose completely and leave the eye only. On the other hand - this is the whole eye, not the part of it :) But I guess you were making part of the face, so it fits the challenge. 5.
