yes Deb, Gehry's hallmark architecture here seems like a funny but a bit cruel joke given the purpose of this building :). In fact there were some complaints about it, e.g. this bit from the Wikipedia article

"On his blog, New Urbanist and architecture critic James Howard Kunstler named the Lou Ruvo center his "Eyesore Of The Month" for April 2010. Kunstler sharply criticized the Center's design, writing: "It seems to say: This is your brain on Frank Gehry". Kunstler suggested that the architecture was inappropriate for the building's purpose: "If I had a problem with my brain, I would not be reassured arriving at this place. The implicit sadism is impressive".

...this notwithstanding, I loved the architecture

If you had a brain problem, I'm not sure coming to this building would help.... What a cool place!

My goodness, I'd had NO idea he did this in Las Vegas.

Ah, Frank Gehry, one of my architecture heroes.
Delighted to see this.

Cool! Just looking at this would make me wonder how healthy my brain is.

Very cool. I lived there (not the brain health center) in 2000-2001, but I have never heard of this. Will have to look it up.
