Was just playing around with my new macro lens (100mm F1:2.8) when I noticed the nice effect through the 50mm lens. So I set it all up, took about 30-40 tries to get it all right. In PS: removed colour, crop, little extra sat and beefed up the darker colours, despecle, unsharp mask and resize.
Will probably get good votes from other Canon-heads, but Nikon owners will vote me down :)

I took heed of some of the advise and have redone this photo.

My first instinct was to have the blacks very dark, but then I lost the reflection of the 50mm on top of the 17-40, and I thought the reflection was quite nice.
The white dots on the 17-40 are not scratches but lint and dust, give a nice worn feeling to the image IMHO.

BTW your Arsenal just lost to Man City, after a long (49?) series without loss. That Rooney is a curse on Arsenal.
