| Great pose. So hard to get them doing anything but standing with wings folded or flying. |

I remember the first (and only) time I saw a bald eagle as a kid. It was a family trip all the way up in northern Montana. They just didn't exist anywhere near civilization. Now we have them all over the place, right in the middle of the city. There's a nest above the cliff 1/2 mile from my house.

Bird shots usually leave me feeling "meh", but this one is really good. I like the diagonal of the branch and the detail and textures in the wings are amazing.
