I think Lydia hit on the reason for the low votes -- it didn't really fit the challenge description. If it had, it probably would have been one of my highest scores. I felt guilty giving it a 6, because it was much better than that. But there was the whole description problem...
Massively cool creation, though. (And I probably shouldn't admit having only given it a 6.... ) |

Congrats, Joshua. Pay attention to the wise words from the Frenchman :) |

I'm so glad you're back. Please pay no attention to the low votes: they are simply insignificant, and the reasons behind them will never make you any better at what you do anyway. I am personally convinced that negative feedback is useless: no one has the right to tell you what you shouldn't be doing. On the other hand, I know many who greatly enjoy your creations, who appreciate the way you manage to transmit your mood and views through photography. I definitely am one of them, and I hope to see many more of your pictures soon. |

Awesome photo. Definite and immediate emotional connection, with enough "What the...?" to make you stop and study it. |

Hey Joshua ... !!
i havent been in dpc for ages .. great to see you're still here and kicking arse .. metaphorically of course .. as introspection and kicking arse dont really live together .. and what a fantastic image .. good one .. :) |

More an imaginative illustration of "introspection" than a literal portrayal of the word, unless the written material is an intro of some sort. Or I have just missed it. That nitpicking being said, it's very imaginative and philosophically provocative, drawing one into the image more than any other entry, in my opinion. The man's penetrating gaze is perfect. The darkish overall tone is suitably mysterious. The watch is a nice touch. |

Very nicely done. Love the textures and tones. Even the chunks of phrases that wound up visible are awesome. |

I wouldn't have the first clue how to make a photo that shows introspection, but somehow you've managed to do it. Well done. |

Hmmm... I suspect that this will do reeeally well...
It's a wonderful creation!
I think the challenge asks for a "compound word" One word that's made up of two words and those two words are depicted. Like "Tube" and "Rose" (see challenge description)
I have studied this... for a long time. And I've dissected the title... trying to make it into two words that I understand.
I'm lost.
I'm not voting, so please feel free to message me with help, if you have the time and inclination.
It's a brilliant piece of work but I just can't make two words out of "introspection"
And... I'm frustrated that I must be missing something totally obvious to others.
