Three Mushrooms. Or, if you prefer, Mushrooms, Bark and Moss. Three subjects, as you will. For me it was the mushrooms ... perhaps a bit of a shoehorn, but no one said the three subjects had to be different, or the same size ... they just need to have "equal visual importance." Here, I think all three mushrooms do -- the big one catches the eye, but without both of the little ones the picture does not have the same impact.

Lydia is absolutely right about those hot spots - the original is not blown but I was trying out a little different processing in Topaz here and those darn hot spots kept appearing and I ran out of time so let them go. I almost didn't enter but I was curious how this would do and am pleased with the results (so far) - its been remarkably stable around 5.7 all week, a few ticks up, a few ticks down, back and forth. I am prett sure there are a lot of 5s and 6s, perhaps a smattering of 7s (thanks Lydia!) to pull the score up a bit, and not many votes at either extreme.

lol, famous last words -- image has dropped steadily in the last day -- so much for consistency! My guess is it will end up with equal ##s of 5s and 6s and not much else -- which is about what it deserves. |
