 The dove got awat but just...I missed the focus on the merlin but I still like the capture. It was a long day out and about with my camera. Near the end of the day I spotted the Merlin sitting on a cedar tree just watching the birds feeding at the feeders. It stayed there for a long time and then swoosh the chase began and ended in a split second. I thought I missed everything but when I uploaded my images I saw this!

Great catch! I still find it interesting that birds prey upon their own kind.... kinda creepy, but it is what it is!

Holy crap! It's like one of those nature shows. If it's about the dove, you go "All right! The dove got away!" If it's about the merlin, you go "awwww...That poor bird. Hungry again."
