To be in posthumous green gallery is just so nice and Don guessed the process of this image.
I wanted to print a photo of mine taken in a space with black paper rectangles on the walls; printer ran out of red and smudged the black; took the defective print and placed it in paper scraps drawer. A few days after...
Bought a new brand of oil paints, water solubles and wanted to try them. Took a paper from the scrap pile, yes, that one, and tried the phthalo green blue shade, cadmium yellow, black and white tubes using different techniques, brush and knife and glaze - before reaching for the red and orange tubes I stopped - the water was green and I just cleaned my glasses with a green soft fabric! Grabbed the camera, took a shot, tried the other colors, yes, they work - disposed off the by now multicolored paper and kept the green shot. |
