First off, I like the use of warm ground in front of cool trees. Secondly, I often stand and stare at the edge of a forest, with trees like sentinels, holding things out- or keeping things in?

An attempt at something like this was my backup plan, but was too far away with too little light. You have just enough of light for the trees and foreground to give it a nice balance of scraryness.
