I vote Cooper's Hawk - with rounded tail feathers. The SS supposedly has squared off tail feathers. But they are so similar ID's are difficult. |

I would venture a guess of a Cooper's Hawk. The shape of the head is the only real identifier as the SS has a much smaller head and the eye appears much more prominently. The sizes of Coopers and Sharpies overlap between the sexes. |

Could be a Cooper's Hawk, but I think Sharp-shinned Hawk is just as good an ID. |

Great shot. Could be a Red-shouldered Hawk.
