 American Pipit, Anthus rubescens. Staging in Upper Beaver Meadows for a couple weeks. Nests on tundra. Some in Colorado high country. The rest migrate to Alaska. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, f/5.6, 1/2500s, ISO 320, lens focal length 400mm. 04/24/14 2:48pm. Yes, the gate is open to Upper Beaver Meadows.
