A cart vendor threw some left over bread crumbs onto the street and about fifty pigeons swooped down...
So I set my camera and waited...

One of my favorites for the challenge, the static buildings with the movement of the birds really worked. Great image!

I don't know why I passed this by without remarking on its overall excellence. Maybe I'm just too used to seeing skyscrapers. Anyway, the composition is wonderful. The textural contrasts between man-made and "natural" are telling. The sign in the lower right is icing on the cake. Of course the extraordinarily caught pigeons taking flight are breathtaking, strong and poetic. Sorry for the lapse in attention.

Love the No Standing Anytime bit. And since I'm a bit dyslexic, or perhaps just old, I read it as "A cat vendor threw bread crumbs..." Ha! Congrats on the top ten - lovely shot.
