No great ideas for this one. I might not have shot for it if it wasn't for the Beat you Average contest. Found a soft pellet gun in the cabinet. Darn thing looks real to me.

I think the person is a bit over cooked, I know you needed that to get the fantastic detail on a dark gun, but since it's advanced I might have erased a bit of it on him in a layer( just my lousy 2 cents)... Other wise I love this! Not going to down grade because I think it's over processed Because it's a POW in your face type of shot and the grungey face works for it...8

Nice Smith!!!! Already voted, trying to make comments now :-))
My focus is on the gun which is a great thing and what it is about.
For some reason I feel this picture is missing the rest of its meaning and the title and the picture just doesn't quite meet up together for me.

The look on the dude is awesome with his mouth like that, for me still is searching like the rest of his face and I want to see his eyes, his rest of his expressions. Usually, its the eyes of a person and that brings a lot out for the power of the punch.

Don't like the finger on the trigger, even though these are just pictures, gun safety should always be practiced. The hammer is down with a flexed finger on the trigger for all I know the gun was just discharged. The message implied about Americans and guns, and the grunge effect accentuates that image. Overall I dislike it immensely, that doesn't mean however it isn't art, it certainly expresses your feelings very well, and all the pieces play together to get the message across... I hate the context, but well done anyway
