 This was such a perfect place to take city shots. The streets were mostly unused at this time of night, and the only problems I had were taxi drivers slowing down to see if I wanted a ride, screwing up my shot in the process.

This is an interesting area in the Dubai Marina--there are at least 15 to 20 huge apartment buildings, from 60 to 101 stories each, including the Princess Tower, which is supposedly the tallest residential building in the world. For some reason, all of these buildings are built with very little room between them, and some of the buildings have no possibility of a view, because they're completely boxed in by other, taller buildings.

A friend of mine who was also shooting this area pointed out the leading lines of the 'V', so I owe him a few beers for this shot.

The draw, for me, are the buildings, and I think there is too much tarmac in this shot, but it only prevented this from being better. It's still a great shot.

While I'm not a real fan of the super processing, this is a very interesting, colorful and well thought out piece of work. The streaking yellow light is worth at least an extra point!
