My guess; these were actually flames

I am really hating thumbnails.. does no justice for this one.. Opening this up fully really brings out the full dynamic pattern and its really cooler looking at this close up in full.. Nice job with it, love to know how you made it all bendy like this.. if it was the picture already taken or if you edited this..
