 The building is a modern parking garage across the street from my home. Apparently it won some architectural awards.

I almost did not enter this one since it's bit of a shoehorn, but what the heck... Shot on the last day of the challenge, around sunset local time (didn't have anything for the challenge before that). I decided to take my brand new 35mm f/1.8 DX for a short stroll around my neighborhood. It's not an ideal architectural lens, but who cares :-) Everything was against me (read: i was totally unprepared): the card was almost full and i was shooting RAW+JPG, the batteries (both of them) were running on fumes and i left home with just the camera (no tripod)...

Resized in IrfanView (with sharpening) and saved for Web.

Well, this was unexpected. I think my choice of subject won the hearts of the voters more than my photography skills on this one. Thank you all. And the decorative lighting changes from time to time. Apart from green it can be red, blue, violet...

@ Jules1x: Your comment on the lower part of the building is exactly what my wife commented when she first saw the image.

BTW, the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX is one sharp lens. I tends to backfocus a bit on wide apertures (f/1.8 - f/2.8), but there is a chance that it's me moving the camera. I have to test this.

I love the pattern on the building, and green lights, how unique. Great find. I wonder what the image would have looked like without that lowest (less interesting to me) level.
