Special thanks to all those who took the time to comment and let me know they liked this. I'm not ordinarily a selective color fan and I think that's true of many here at DPC, so I hesitated to enter this. However, I do think it can work when the image looks as if or almost as if it could have been in black and white with a touch of color; and, in my opinion, that's the case here.
This is one of the less frequented hallways at the Palace of Versailles in France. The floor is, of course, black and white, and the bench is blue. The walls are more a creamy beige.

Excellent example of selective color that i never thought would work. I always thought that fiery colors (red, yellow, orange and variations) work best with this technique, never blue.
