 Brilliant tree with practically hot pink leaves -- not really red, but more of a coral red color.

I wish I'd snapped off that dead branch near the left corner. I didn't feel tearing branches off trees in an arboretum was allowed, but now I wish I'd done it anyway.

Hope the October challenge isn't TOO saturated with foliage shots making this boring.

Nice, if it was the only photo of colored leafs in the challenge it would be even better but there are so many.
It's a nice picture but after the 20th the wow factor is gone (not your fault)

Beautiful color contrast of the red and the green. Because the contrast is so important here, I think it would have a better "gestalt" if you cropped the bottom up to the green. Then it's almost an abstract painting!

The colors are beautiful. The subject is very appropriate for the October Free Study. It seems to lack something in the composition, tho. Wish I knew more myself so I could give you a suggestion. :)

Love the colors. As an abstract, this photo works perfectly. Still, I kinda wish for a "subject" (a center of attention ... something to focus on). Good luck in the challenge.

I like the color and the subject. IMHO, maybe things are a little too chaotic. I found my eye kind of wandering around the photo looking for a dominant subject or place to rest my eyes. Good effort.
