I thought about this challenge for a long ass time! I took a bunch of pictures of friends, but found this candid shot was my favorite. At the park this weekend, this woman was waiting in this same spot, in this same stance, for over an hour. Whether or not that's apparant, hmph. This won't fare well in voting and I'm okay with that (ahahaha)... but it was the best of the bunch in my opinion!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the comments!

I know this one didn't realllly make the challenge, but I was going more for personality/behavior traits than physical features. Of all the shots, this one did it for me. I'm not too concerned with where I placed in the challenge, but just that I ENTERED the challenge ahaha.

I appreciate the suggestions for improvement, too. Thank you all!

I do not know if this is a defining feature. While the woman looks in waiting, there is someone coming. It is otherwise a very nice study and the partial top view and design of the bricks do drive the point home of waiting. If your title is true then the only way she can be lonely and waiting is if she awaiting a pick-up, but no, I do not get this feeling. But since you have created a composition reminiscent of the Japanese gardens you get my 6 for making this an ideal study of waiting, even though that is not the challenge. Good picture, who cares.lol 6

Is this a defining feature for her? How sad.

How about less centered? I like red blocks... maybe could do desaturation on girl...would make it more interesting.

Good use of negative space, interesting brick pattern, and nice contrast between the black clothes and the red bricks.
