My 11 year old daughter is 5'5". Her height is always the topic of dicussion at gatherings.
Taken at Cathedral Lake, Yosemite. That's Cathedral Peak behind her.
It was cold as heck, got down in the low 20's that night.

why did you choose to desat her and not the background? Seems it should be the other way around to draw attention to her.

Nice use of perspective.

The low viewpoint is a good idea and conveys the message of "tallness". But I think it is a bit overdone. Shooting with the camera a bit higher and further back (but zoomed in to keep her the same size) would still portray her as tall, but the exaggeration would be more subtle and the overall photo more attractive.

You chose very interesting background for your picture... tall trees and mountain... to suggest size of your model.

Why would you desaturate the color of your subject and leave everything else in color? In this particular case, it doesn't really keep the viewer from focusin on the subject, but the question still remains. I can't determine how this choice helps the overall impact of the photograph.

Oh no! She's also footless! Yeah, it's a bad thing to cut people off at the ankles or knees. Interesting perspective though.
