 I had trouble with ideas for this challenge, I didn't think South Dakota was known for a lot. Well, thanks to Magnificent Team 7 for throwing out ideas - we are known for all sorts of things. (Buffalo, Walleye, Kuchen, Corn, and all sorts of livestock.

Now what to photograph? I thought that corn and beef were my best shots, and both were items I would love to grill up and eat afterwards.

It was an interesting experience working with meat. I had nitrile gloves out, and tried everything in a number of different setups. Plus this was my first time using an actual lightroom workflow - using a number of the tools.

I am not sure I would say this totally met my vision, but in the end I was pretty happy with my final product. Thanks for looking.

Composition is too static, but you got good detail along the front edge of the steak.

Normally, I like shallow DOF, but this is too shallow for the subject (at least in my opinion). I would've preferred to see the whole steak rather than just the front edge.
