The way the hand is placed made me think more of a blind person reading braille than a sign language for the deaf. Nevertheless, the picture looks a little blurry and I don't care for the dark shadows on the white backdrop. I do like the composition and how you have the wrist in front of the border line. I also like the richness of the skin tones.

Good message, though the hand looks a little out of focus. The details on the surface show up well though.

Perhaps a shot of someone signing would be more to the point.

hand looks a little soft and blurred. Perhaps you were trying to capture it in motion, to simulate signing? Doesn't quite work for me. I would have liked to have seen the texture of the surface more evenly throughout, as it's pretty blown-out on the left, and would have looked lovely.
