Not convinced about the extreme shallow dof here - a misplaced trick from trendy portrait photography just adds a sense of confusion to my eye, and I really want to see every detail of the fantastic light and subject you have here. And wisdom? She looks more scared or worried to death, to me. It has a lot to say about age, this shot, were it not for those two elements.

Beautiful portrait... just wish dark parts be same in focus.

it bothers me that the chin is cropped off just tehre, and that it is such a direct front shot. The lighting seems to be perhaps a single sorce from the front, which creates often harsh lighting wth darkness around the eye's and mouth.. good start and idea, execution needs some work.

Intersting portrait, but the bottom part of the face needs to be lightened a bit. I know the emphasis is on the eyes, but the difference in light levels is a bit too much.

A wonderful choice of subject. I do wish the lower part of her face was not so dark, but it works as you have beautifully emphasized her eyes with this technique.

multiple catch lights in the eyes - better with only 1 per eye.
