INteresting subject. You're righ, don't need any words to describe what happened. Good job and good luck.

I'm sure you get lots of comments that "this is not a roadsign." I disagree. This may be THE most important roadsign. Good exposure and sharpness. Would have skewed a little to the left, if it were possible. Possibly, I would have used heavy zoom and a wide-open lens to make the cross very sharp, and the environment less sharp.

the contrasting color is good, white cross, red flowers, brownish grass, etc, very lonely desolate looking photo

like the way the red and white are the more prominent colours

The cross and flowers are a little out of focus. otherwise fairly nice photo. Like the lake or pond in the back on the left. I wish you the best in the challenge.

This is a very dramatic photo! It's taken from a good angle, and the bare trees in the background add to the drama. I think if you had walked back a few steps and placed the cross on the right hand corner of the picture, the road would lead your eyes toward the cross, and make the composition a bit more harmonious. good work! -Annida

Good color and emotional appeal. Focus seems sharpest on the trees behind the cross. Interesting framing. 7 Swash

Nice composition. The whiteness of the cross, and redness of the flowers, in an otherwise muted background is very effective - they certainly draw your attention. Exposure and focus are also good - not quite brilliant, but certainly good enough. And your title - well, yes it is international. Well done.

might have included more space above the subject to capture more 'nature' in the photo - to contrast that permanence and strength against the fleeting presence of man demonstrated by the cross.
