for me this is about perception and trying to detect something by how it affects a pattern. It reminds me of Cerebral Palsy and how a pattern of tiles on the floor can help someone with CP to walk.
I'm hanging this in my fantasy art gallery

This attempt at the brown will not pass. I like the blurry facets of the proto-argyle couched in ambiguous grain. There's a sense of sci-fi dread anticipation of the unknown.
Or maybe not. |
