Good macro! The lack of visual separation between the spider and the flower leaves me a little less wowed, though. I can imagine you sitting there trying to figure out how to crop it, since the spider's face is clearly the central focal point, but the spider's legs are asymmetrical: put the spider's face in the middle and lose some of the legs on the left or keep the whole spider in there and lose the symmetry? I'm not sure there's a perfect answer, but I'll tell you this: I repeatedly found myself zooming my screen in so I could explore its face. You seem to have captured lots of good detail there, but the choice to show its whole body, combined with the small size required by the challenge, meant I couldn't see it well. |
