Love the tones, the back lighting, the raised head and alert pose. I would of course like to see the legs or else more foreground brush in that area so he doesn't seem cut off by your crop but rather by his position in the scene. The position in the frame seems awkward, too, with him looking more left but more space behind him.

I find myself absolutely LOVING the light and those weed thingies... but... wanting some more detail in the deer to make it perfect.
