 A retirement community on top of a bluff. I was hoping to get a better view of the stars, but alas.. the ambient lighting was just too strong.

This is probably another average photograph on my behalf, but what the hey, I like the composition, and the imposing way the building seems to be growing out of nothing.

Editing: USM, cropping, resizing, curves, brightness/contrast, color balance.. the usual. I also dodged the stars up a bit, and the light in the window.

I'm surprised at how low this finished. It was my second favorite of the challenge and I expected at least a top 10 finish. Good work.

i like the (isometric?) view of the building - looks like a Sims house! the big area of black at the bottom of the shot is a major distraction and unbalances the picture a bit though. lovely stars on an evidentally good clear night. the colours of the house seem a little muted, perhaps a bit of brightness / contrast twiddling might be good? 5.
