Last day, and I had no shots for free study. The only things I had shot this month were for specific challenges, and the outtakes didn't work (they were too similar to the challenge entries.)

And, of course, no cell phone entry either.

So I went out with my camera and cell phone. I was looking for the osprey that is ALWAYS in a specific tree. And was it there?? No!! Looking for a fox I'd seen a couple of times on Jamestown island. Was it there?? No!!

Drove around the island, saw some cool things. Tried cell phone shots. Did they look like lousy cell phone photos!! No!! They were even worse than lousy cell phone photos! :)

I figured it had been awhile since I had done a seagull shot, so I took the ferry. Huge, huge number of shots. 3 that I liked. :)

Did a cell phone entry there, as well. That was very difficult. Camera delays don't work very well on moving subjects. Still, I like the camera entry. :)

I expected this beautiful shot to finish higher. Everything about it is wonderful. (And that was supposed to be an exclamation mark in my earlier comment.)

The sea, which I mistook initially to be clouds in the sky, confused and disoriented me. Thanks for that.

The title you've given it fits well, the pose of the bird implies turbulence as well as the waters below. Still, the water being as in-focus as it is makes for a pretty busy background which I'm not super crazy about, and I think a crop to remove a bit from the top and the bottom would have looked better.
