I wish we would have had a couple of weeks to do this one. What a wonderful body of work to explore.

What I love most about odriew's work (or is it s' odriew?) is the lighting and the toning. And then there's usually a surprise in there.

I didn't have anything for the challenge, but I looked back at the images that I had taken at the State Fair of Virginia over the weekend. And there was one that I had taken simply because of the lighting. Then I tried to come up with a toning for it.

As to meat on a stick -- it's a grilled turkey leg. :)

I like the shot I just think it may be a little to saturated and bright. Maybe a little more muted would have matched it a little better. Still a nice shot though.

Great use of the light, very similar to the way he can get it to seemingly leak on command.

Yum! *grabs food and runs off*
Very nice light, but I'm not crazy about the composition with the lady at the left of the frame. A lot of times in odriew's style an element adds some curiosity and mystery, but in my opinion this one just distracts.

Is that a chunk of meat she's about to eat?!! Meat on a stick!! Awesome, never seen that! Curiosity aside, I really do like the light and soft processing. Particularly the beautiful, prominent highlights in her hair.
