 10/10/14 4:23pm. A 6x6 is a "Royal". This guy had a harem of about 25 females. Upper Beaver Meadows, RMNP. The rut is in progress. This bull was very alert to competitive bulls in the vicinity of "his" females. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, f/5.6, 1/500s, ISO 800, lens focal length 400mm.

Little, puny, hominids in prehistoric times had no chance of killing a bull elk. Some were probably gored trying if they ever came close, which they could not because the Neanderthals had short legs and thick skulls.

Mor offering of fud for Grog! Grog not have to hunt when fud comes to him. Grog shuld hold challunge mor oftin. Getting fat and lazy is Grog. But at least Grog is honust about it with Grogself.

Uggg go on hunt with tribe. Grog put Uggg on one side, tribe on other. Uggg make crazy noises. Dear run towards Grog. Grog kill dear. Uggg not go hungry.
