I voted, but sadly I failed to return to comment. This fascinating image was my top pick. Nicely done. I am pleased to this got some PH attention and a couple of favorites. |

Merde! You were, I swear it, my top pick. But I never got any comments nor final scoring done. So your intended ten was just a place-card seven, and the moving thumb never writ. I think this is the second time I've neglected you in this shabby way in recent months, and I'm sorry. These birds are like no others. I could tell you stories of them from my youth; they knew me as a boy on the high country farm, and they always knew from 200 yards or more whether or not I was feeling bloody and carrying a rifle. But I never shot even one, though my father hated them and would've winked at me and called me 'cobber'.
Edit to add: title's sublime, and worth the seven just on its own.

That "one" was a great choice and the capture and processing really picks him (or her ) out. Top pick for me. |

This one just appeals to me. I love looking at it in detail, and the overall image is out of this world. The OOF bird is what really makes it for me, I think. Just love that fanned tail looking slightly transparent, and then my eye easily drifts up on a diagonal to the other bird's eye. |

I really like this - good high-key look and the overall sense of chaos suits the subject well, and the compostion is very good. |

This is almost perfect. The black line on the right border looks like the result of careless cropping. Otherwise, the arrangement of tones, shapes, & lines is interesting to look at. |
