Lafayette College Student Center, Easton, PA

I shoot in Easton all the time, and have been to Lafayette, but never in any of their buildings. This is a back staircase in the center of the building. Loved the green heart at the top.

Hi Jake, Andi here from the Critique Club (a little late sorry).

Wow, wanting a critique on a ribbon winner! I do like this image and think this colour is often boring but it all goes well together, the heart (as mentioned) is a little gem. You have managed to keep the lights and windows from blowing out and that always helps.

There are plenty of shadows available but they are all a bit soft and I wonder what the image would look like if they were darker? Ideally you'd have captured the heart somewhere along the rule of thirds but doubt you had the room to do that and keep the effect as it is.

I'm really nitpicking now but the shadow bottom left distracts me a little and on the right there is a sliver of window frame that could have been removed by moving an inch or 2.

Congratulations on a(nother) ribbon ;)
