 Macro made with a wide angle lens. Cropped some off each side when squaring up the dimensions. As near as I can remember this is the first time I've made a macro image using this lens. It was nearly touching the lead edge of the clock.

After rollover:
I knew this would be questioned by some as not being a macro. However, I had just read about unconventional macros before the challenge was announced and decided to experiment, even though I could have done the safe thing and used my 100mm macro lens for the challenge. Sometimes experimentation is worth the risk of a mediocre score. I appreciate all the comments and I am glad that some people enjoyed the result. I now have a new appreciation for my 14mm lens and what it can do.

I greatly admire this image. Not sure how it fits as a macro, but I have to laud loudly the composition, the lighting - the moment. Outstanding.
