I gotta admit, between me and my brother, he's the artistic right-brained, and I'm the technical left-brained. But that just increases my appreciation for those with artistic talent. Sometimes, I can do quite well mimicking an idea I find online. Coming up with the idea myself is my first and maybe biggest challenge. My humor then gets in the way.

this photograph is more artistic than you are, apparently. maybe it can take you somewhere if you let it.

Us Lensbaby photographers gotta stick together.
Who knows, maybe the 1/2 luck part of photography did it's thing above and beyond my intentions.

I'm bummed. I had this as one of my higher choices and was all set to mention it in the "Top 20" thread, but then I read your comment: "I just wanted to see what happens when I put a trash photo on the line.". To think I picked a "trash" photo would take away from the other ones I've highlighted. Maybe they're "trash" too ... don't know.

I know this challenge was well, a challenge; to find an interesting subject, etc... I recognized the Lensbaby use immediately and guess I got a warm fuzzy just because of that. LOL.

Anyway. Glad to know you had fun nonetheless. Take care.

HA HA HA HA HA!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 5.0938?

I placed this as a joke. Nothing much went into it, and in my opinion, has absolutely no artistic value. I just wanted to see what happens when I put a trash photo on the line. And I still scored over 5!

Honorable mention to the 4 nice and encouraging comments. I didn't really impress you, did I?

I like this - good composition and use of leading lines, and the blur adds excitement.

Different -, with depth and color nuances which tickle one's interest. In my top 5

You made a boring theme into something good

On topic, interesting "movement" with the blurring, just not very compelling on the artistic scale.
