I really like it but I think you will get voted down as there is no way to know that this is a night shot.

This is sooo "Interview with a Vampire"! Is this a girlgirlgirl shot? Regardless, I have really enjoyed viewing it and the image does an excellent job of conveying a dark and sultry melody. I can hear it in the background... Good job! Gave it an 8; bumped it to a 9.

Here's my normal comment finaly:
Very moody low key photo. I like it.
I vote you 9, not ten because of the folowing reasons:
1. A bit of the girls forehead and background behind the top of her head are blown out.
2. Doesn't scream Night Shot to me.

Well 9 isn't a bad score is it?

Good lighting condition and composition, maybe it would be better with all of the fiddle in the frame... ...or maybe not, this is just great as it is, bumping up.

wish there was at least a little light on the left side of her face, maybe to see more facial expression

One of the best uses of light in this challenge (IMHO). Great shot.

i love the moodiness of this... it would appear from the motion of her right hand that this was taken whilst actually playing - i think just posing would have provided a sharper image here. i like the lighting, the background, cool violin and, erm, nice attire :) this is a pretty rich photograph. 9.

Although I entered a landscape myself, I specially appreciate this picture because it really shows NIGHT while not showing the night sky. Great idea. Good score.

longer exposure to show the arm & bow moving would have been effective

My biggest complaint about this one is that it's really not clear that this is shot at night. Probably a dark studio. Otherwise very nice.

A beautiful take on the challenge, I really hope this gets high marks. My first reaction is the green stagelight skintones are way green. The shadow is perfect. 9
