Very sharp and detailed in the foreground and I like the sort of leading line of the frozen water. |

There are rare situations where the centered horizon works well. This is not one of them :-( It distracts me from the other elements in the image. As with the other elements, Adams used lots of dodge and burn in developing the print in order to produce the characteristic dramatic tonal range he is famous for. Most of his famous images are processed during development. I would prefer a processing in which the vegetation on the left is a tad darker (one zone blow current) and the stream in the same zone as the snow. |

Nice landscape, but something's not working for me with the pp'g. Too sharpened, maybe, or maybe it's a lack of contrast... |
