Greetings from the critique club!
I really enjoy the idea of this image. I also enjoy the intimacy of the framing --it gives my eye a visual flow to follow. However, I think the picture lacks the clarity/sharpness that good focus could bring. I like the texture of the two main colors of the flame. While I don't think there is much you can do about it other than trial and error, the shape of the flames could be more balanced --the heavy weight of the yellow flame is overwhelming the shot and not adding much visual interest. I absolutely love the juxtaposition of the two matches; I think you hit that nail on the head.
Great work.

Nicely exposed, but the focus is not quite on. |

I think this was a great entry for the challenge. I love the capture of both yellow and blue of the flame. I liked how you filled the frame as well. |

Nice capture, but I wish it was sharper. Looks like there are some halos already from (I assume) attempting to sharpen the image. |
