 I don't normally shoot the homeless -- ethics, sure, but it's also low-hanging fruit and not usually very sweet fruit at that. But in this case, I made an unapologetic exception. Our homeless friend was happy to comply, and the picture only cost me one dollar. I wonder which of his many vices I helped support.

Yashica T5, Delta 100 in Perceptol. 6x9 print on 8x10 Ilford MGIV RC paper.

How do we know? He looks healthy and engaging. I like the tones and centered sunglasses.

Royalty or starving artist. Hard to resist this character and I have the same opinion on photographing the homeless.
