 Not much of a title :-(

I shot a similar one for Botany III but i didn't like it.
I first imagined the shot in black and white and without the painting. The green of the leaves made so much impact that i decided to go color. The painting was an element added to restore some balance in the image.

And yes, i know the painting looks crooked. I have tried to make it as straight as possible but i think the shadows are the ones that create the confusion.

I had to choose from 4 images that i liked equally. This was the one i shot last so i stayed :-)
My only regret is that one image i didn't find the time to shoot. I will probably do it in another challenge.

This is another shot in this challenge I can see as a text-book image right below the chapter titled "Negative Space & Photography". Made a bit more interesting with dueling subjects. 8

For me, the picture is distracting. I keep bouncing between it and the plant. I would have scored a 9 without it.

The balance of the opposing items each having their own negative space is clever framing.
