Even if you are old and wiped out, defy it by still walking where you want, outside convention, even if the convention itself is old and wiped out.

I like this image so much but don't think I can fully elucidate why -- there's a lot of fugitive beauty here. A lush spareness that so suits the black and white presentation. Shadows and figures, perspective, delicate lines that are reminiscent of a stark Miro painting. Quiet. Masterfully composed. A lesson in seeing. My second favorite. |

Why did the pigeon cross the road? I might think this pic was from Melethia except for what looks like Russian writing on the brickwork. I like it, but I'll be curious to see how this fares with the collective. |

I am a huge fan of this sort of detached "God's-view" shot. The crutch and the shadows from the unseen birds are excellent touches. The composition drags the eye all around on the adventure as well. Normally I like more sharpness but in this case I kind of like the old-photo quality to it. 10 |
