| I find this a somewhat sultry and sensuous image, the bare shoulder, the strap of the bag, the flowing hair ΓΆ€“ is she an angel floating or am I, a male viewer, being swept along in a voyeuristic male gaze. I suspect it is an image that says more about who the viewer is than the scene, but there is a lot more going on here than we think. The shadow and light that envelops her arm is a wonderful lead in into the other facets of the image. The technical aspects are subtle but the subject is strong. This is powerful and strong imagery that commercialism strives to attain, it contains statements of cultural artefacts, revealing information about the culture of its creator and users. |

one thumb = top ten & hang on my wall anytime.
Unexpectedly lovely and interesting. It feels very dynamic and loose. Something about that transcends photography, as if you've captured time and space rather than just some light. Thank you. |

| Commenting only: I like the grain here, the subject is interesting enough...I see a story that she's leaving. I don't personally think the OOF blur is necessary or effective here though, especially with such a closeup. Perhaps further back a lensbaby style blur would be interesting to me. Or midway back...maybe motion blur...she's leaving! |
