 I set these kids up in an attempt to show "overcrowding," in the classroom. It's a lot different than it used to be. I made some minor contrast adjustments.

Not to be another border maniac, but I don't see what this one adds to an otherwise very strong picture. Could maybe crop a tiny sliver off the left hand side to make it more symmetrical, if that's not contrary to the feel you want.

This is nostalgic! In the 'good ol' days' we rarely had less than 35 kids in a classroom, but the quiet, respectful demeanor of the kids was more conducive to learning than the chaotic classrooms of 15 kids today. BTW, great shot!

I like the photograph itself, particularly that only one student's face can be seen, but I find the border distracting. I'm not taking it into consideration for scoring, but this sort of border might work better in a different color. Right now, it's too close to some of the surrounding areas for it to really stand out. It doesn't really blend in either, due to being a purer white than the nearly-white greys in the students' clothing. That makes the clothes which otherwise appear to be white look a little bit dirty.

Love it, yes yes, very good idea! I don't particularly care for the border (and no, I'm not one of those borderhaters)...it just distracts the tiniest bit. Love his expression, skewed glasses, all of it. Very nice in BW, too. 9 from me!
