After considerable thought I believe my comment was unfair and apologize. Although violence (and sex, etc.) is often used in a meretricious fashion to grab attention in otherwise vapid contexts , it's also a legitimate field of artistic and documentary inquiry. This image is clearly of the latter order. You can put down my reaction to knee-jerk antipathy, or being a jerk or, pardon me, jumping the gun. |

I think this is a very fine photograph, but I eased back in my rating because of my personal distaste for using violence as a prop. |

I can't imagine that this will score very high... even with a gun to the voters' heads.
The content is objectionable... even to a gun-totin' girl like me.
But, I'm not voting... so... I hope I'm wrong. :D |
