Being a (relative) noob to photography, I went digital first, then started exploring film. I bought this Sinar 4x5 camera, with the goal of trying to shoot large format. I figured out how to load the film into the cartridges in total blackness, I was able to tenuously fit the camera to my existing carbon-fiber tripod (although very top-heavy)--I thought I was set. Until I shot a few scenes and started looking around for someone in Dubai to process them.... No joy.

So, this camera has been a nice decoration in my computer room until this challenge came up. I'm glad it was useful for something at least. I'm still looking around for options with shooting and processing large format--maybe mail off the slides in the cartridges? If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Good one. Hats down to the idea and the execution.
I almost tried a similar approach. A shot through the vertical viewfinder of a TLR. Instead of a cityscape, the subject's subject would have been another vintage camera. The orientation and the size of the viewfinder made it a very tough shot and i gave up. I wouldn't have been as effective as yours, anyway.

It doesn't necessarily feel like a portrait of a camera to me but I love the bokeh and the hanging city. My favorite in this challenge.
