A friend of mine was watching while I was voting & didn't like your photo (sorry!), but I do - I like the framing hand in the foreground, that echoes the gentleman sitting in the background. I detect some distracting glare like you were behind glass, so I'm giving a 9. |

I don't really get what the hand stands for... My eyes are looking at it filliing more then 50% of the frame and barely get the guy outside. There is also some bad reflection of the window you took the pic through. Sorry... 3 |

Would like to have seen more of the cup, or the cup and hand unfocused and a tighter shot on the person in the background. |

With a title of empty cup,one would expect to see a cup. The item in the hand is too much out of focus to distinguish. Because of this one has to assume that the person on the floor s the main subject in this photograph. However I do not get an impression of poverty here. |

I like the perspective but would have liked less hand and arm and more of the sitting man. |

Apart from not seeing any real any real evidence of poverty in this photo, I find it cluttered and the reflections in the glass only add to the confusion. |

it took me more than a glance to 'get it'. i think this would have worked better if you backed off and up just enough to make it more apparent that you are inside. also, you could use a little more dof. |

Nice attempt. I think more of your cup and greater depth of field would have mad for better juxtaposition. 5 |

The photo seems a bit distracting.
Also, with the front left being quite OOF it doesn't make any impact on me. |

The main subject of this pic seems to be the hand which is out of focus.
The person in the background doesn't look poor at all and the title makes the whole thing even more confusing. I don't understand what your idea was, and honestly am affraid not many people will.
Better luck next time. |

I don't know if this photo is about the cup in the foreground or the background. If it's about the one in the foreground, it's oddly cropped and should be in focus. If it's the one in the background, I think the foreground image is distracting. |

I had to look twice to find the subject of this shot. I'm guessing you were trying to not draw attention shooting over your arm and thu a window.. And that's what it looks like, like a picture a PI would take while tailing someone. The arm in the foreground just takes up so much space, the blue on the part of the sleave in focus draws the eye and it falls one of the axises of the 'thirds' . While the subject is up in the corner leaving the frame. I think it would have been improved a lot by some cropping. |

Not sure where the important part of the image is. The dominant part, the arm, is blurry, but the sharper portion is very small in comparison. I don't know where the empty cup is. |
