One of my favorites. Last year I went down to Alamosa to see them, there were far fewer than past years. |

There were a lot where I lived in Florida. There was a family (mated pair, and their offspring) who favored a set of holes on a golf course we played, and they learned to recognize Marilyn's golf cart - she'd bring them cracked corn. They'd stand there right next to the cart! We even got to see them dance - it's so fun to see them dance! |

Sandhill Cranes are pretty amazing birds. Very nice photo! I went to the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, near Socorro, New Mexico a couple of years ago to try to photograph them. I was in a line of at least twenty photographers, and the cheapest lens (besides mine), must have been around $6,000.00! Wow, I suffered from lens envy... |

I've heard these birds, but have never seen one. We were camping last year and could hear them calling, but could not visually locate them. Hope I get to shoot one this year. Cool image. |

Nice capture. Prehistoric looking birds. Love their vocalization. |
