Beautiful shot - top shot. I love the bemused expression - he's not going for it (is he not a fetcher?) and he's not cringing, just a sort of 'what the heck is that' look. 10 |

Lovely image, lovely dog, great focus on his/her eyes and the passing stick. Very well executed! |

What I like:
- Wow that picture is crisp! What a snapshot in time.
- Nice, non-distracting background
What I don't like
- The dog looks a bit scared of the stick secondary to the angle of their head (lots of white showing on left eye)
- Looks a bit like he's cowering and about to be hit by the stick rather than fetching it.
Overall: great shot but I feel really sorry for the dog. Not sure if this was intent or not. If so: it's done very well. |

7 from me (earlier). It's more about the stick... than the lawn. If the stick hadn't been there... and he/she had been holding the stick... then... it would be more about the lawn.
Unfair? Perhaps. Actually... most likely.
But... there you have it.
The incoming stick makes it all about... the stick.
I'm aware, btw, of how difficult this was... yet still... My opinion (lame as it is) stands.
Carry on. :D |
