taken in cronulla, i found that quite a number of these houses have been run down for a number of years... i came to realise that most of these houses were handed down from generation to generation
because of the "hand me down" nature it led to alot of them being run down if the newer generation couldnt afford the renovation fees...
they literally became asset rich (because its such an expensive property) but didnt have the income to support or facilitate the renovation of these houses

This kind of poverty I could handle!

Try a home equity loan from Ditech! ;-) Good photo, but requires too much explanation.

boy, that's a heckuva a view of poverty...we should all be so broke! as far as a challenge entry goes, this one leans little more towards snapshotty, though.

Don´t make me laugh; that´s not poverty.

Interesting capture for the challenge, but too thin for me. Also appears to be more of a snapshot than a composition.

I think you rtitle is kind of distraction--your picture should capture the essence of the theme without you having to explain how it relates.

Maybe the photo size requirements got you with this one, but I just don't see the poverty. Not quite a strong enough representation of the challenge.

My attention is deawn to the really vibrant sky. The house just doesn't speak out as something that should be focused on.

This has an overexposed look to it. The sky is blown out and the shadows are all harsh. The places my eyes are drawn to are drenched in blude shadows. I know you can't do much about the position of the sun, except maybe come back at a different time of day.
