In his element. No place he'd rather be.
A beautiful portrait but the lady wearing the red jacket detracts a little. I see some forced perspective going on. Did you try black and white? Might be able to make her blend more with his surroundings. I do like this in color so maybe desaturation would work too.
All in all a very nice image. Just some random thoughts that came to mind. |

Great picture. Great story. I saw the documentary on him many years ago. Would have thought he was long gone. But as I think about it- he gets a lot of exercise and loves what he is doing- probably a recipe for a long life. |

The background guy is a distraction, of course, he's practically glued to the front of the lens.
But he's a good distraction. Just reminding us that it's not all about the photographer.

I know its a candid shot but the other guy is a slight distraction to me

Funny. The background figure is either a distraction or needs to be clearer focus and maybe more engaged. Just a thought. |

Crikey! I thought he was ... well, gone. So happy to see that he isn't at all, and still firing delight at the world. Thank you. |

Normally pictures of photographers are just pictures of photographers, but I really like his enthusiasm and intensity. It's contagious! |

Great shot! Such a legend! Is he smiling at his subject or of you taking his photo? :) |
